£15.00, bit steep for what should be a freebie for advertising.

I look a T*at in a baseball hat - I know cos I had to wear one in my last job before retiring - how sad is that ? Bad enough in a tall toque and a bit iffy in a modern skull cap chef`s hat but a baseball hat ? No way - unless they paid me the £15 - lol.

I'm in the same camp as Tozza27 there - baseball caps do not suit me!

I certainly wouldn`t want to be paying those brainless louts who pose every week on the pitch whilst pretending to kick a pig`s bladder in the name of sport !!

Tozza27, you speak true sense. We pay too much to advertise giant corporations. I think it`s fine to support a brand but that`s where it stops for me.

£15. Surely, you jest?
Black b/b cap £5, one off embroidery £5, never mind the economies of scale.
I know, then there would be the problem of using a logo without permission.
I figure that £5 would be about right to support our chosen brand.
And, many firms have given them away to promote their products - hey, every second redneck in a pickup truck in the US has a John Deere ballcap on! They (the rednecks) are better than footie louts though.

I would possibly wear a John Deere cap, that's an iconic brand (and I loved The Straight Story!) Although I would probably look a tw@ in it.

I wouldn't really feel comfortable wearing branded Pentax stuff - it would feel a bit geeky unless it was done in a very subtle way!

Why a baseball cap?

We have ADAPS sweatshirts, soon to be extended to other items. There are plenty of companies that will make these things for you.

Pentax at one time listed all sorts of promotional items and we have an umbrella, a rather splendid calculator, some mugs and probably other items scattered around.
Best regards, John

I bought my daughter,Emma,a Pentax hip flask from fleabay some years ago - rather nice ( and practical on the golf course ) and collectable - sensible advertising/marketing methinks.
I`m not really keen on Pentax straps either - I prefer a sturdy leather wrist strap for extra security and my jumbo C&C to holster the K20D when not in action.
One of the reporters on This Week was pretending to photograph something with an old Pentax on Thursday - didn`t catch the model but it`s probably still on i-player if you`re interested.

Back in the late 1980s I had a black Pentax t-shirt with red lettering. And we had a batch of v-neck sweaters made for members of Durham Photographic Society which many of us wore at inter-club events. Mine's still in the wardrobe, looking hopelessly out-dated.
As for baseball caps, the peak would get in the way when you're taking photos, and worn back to front is too loutish to contemplate.

I saw that too and I think it was an ME or an ME super.
