On a foggy morning

I have managed to acquire a new set of SDM contacts and fit them so the 16-85 is now working, this was a test.
C&C welcome.

That's a very precise point of focus there! Glad to hear it's working again. Am I right to assume that it was your camera contacts that were at fault? I believe it's the same ones that are used for SDM and DC lenses.

Thanks Nigel, no it was one of the two little brass tabs on the lens that broke, easy enough to replace with a tiny driver and a bit of patience

Wow, more precision and patience than I could likely muster! Well done , no doubt you've saved yourself a good sum in repair bills. If I didn't harbor some full frame ambitions for the future I'd probably have got a copy of the 16-85 instead of the D FA28-105.

A very nice test too. Personally I would have had the tripod and a macro lens on this one for those lovely droplets.
Both the *istDS and the K5 are incurably addicted to old glass
