Balloons!

These are from the Wisborough Green balloon festival in Sussex last weekend. It's hard not to take some nice pictures at an event like this but here are three of my favourites. All with a DA 17-70 (borrowed).

...and the last balloon of the evening, in the fading light:

Wilf

Nice colours, but if you don't mind constructive criticism I would suggest with a subject such as this, to fill the frame with the baloons and leave out the people. You could crop your shots to make the same effect. I think you will find they will have more punch.

I agree with Peter, nice shots, but too many people / other things.

Just scrolling down, I cut out the people on the last pic, I think that, along with cloning the flag out makes a much stronger image. Undecided about cloning the tree out, but I think I would.

Looking at number one again. It's a shame you could't get the baby in shot but with no other people. The scale between the child and balloon would make a great shot (IMHO )
Getting there! Thanks to you guys

Thanks for suggestions.
This is another one I took but I have cropped out the people:

Nice one. To me that is a more vibrant picture.

Thanks Peter. I was taking pictures with the crowd in to give a sense of scale but I think you are right, it looks a lot more dramatic without!
Cheers,
Richard.

Thanks Wilf for sharing your shots, balloons have always fascinated me and it is interesting to read others views as well as enjoy your work.
