I'd been considering getting a budget tripod for some still lifes at home and was resigned to buying a cheap model of iffy quality when I had a quick look at CC's website. They had a Slik Classic for £25 +P&P. I don't think they realised what they had, this model has been in production since 1967 and was the first patented stainless steel tripod. It's currently sold as the Slik Master Classic and costs well over £100 (£169 at WEX).
It arrived yesterday, the bag was a bit grubby but the tripod itself is in VGC, only light signs of use, so well pleased.
