Things are warming up in this part of the world so the beasties are getting active, these are a few my backyard, all in natural light since I haven't sorted out any decent lighting set ups yet.

Chewing it's way through the zucchini plant

Technically, this little jumping spider was in the front yard, he's a different species(more colourful) than the ones in the backyard

Two great minds! I had the same idea posting some macros.
The lady bug if it is eating leaves is the Potato lady bird, the only one that eats leaves, all the others eat aphids.the jumping spider (very shy) my fav spider.Really like the frog though, not one I have seen up here.
C&C welcome.
Don.

Thanks Don, looking forward to seeing some of your macros, I imagine you get a lot of things up that way we don't see down here.

It's definately a 28-spotted Potato Ladybird nothing else could do that much damage to the leaves.

According to link the Perron's tree frogs get as far north as SE Qld but nowhere near as far as you. They can change their colours pretty quickly depending on the background. This is the same frog after he jumped out of the garden and on the lighter coloured wall, 5 minutes later he was entirely beige.

Thanks Mike,I like what you achieved with this one, the angle of the shot and the space around it.
