Hello from Igloo Country

I believe Santa MAY be dropping off a K100D body this Xmas.

To prepare, I have a lead on a basic 18 - 55 DA lens at a reasonable price.

From what I can see it has a zoom ring and a focusing ring if needed, but no aperture ring visible.

Would this lens operate on George's SFX film body as if it were in A mode?

(This is in case I'm wrong about Santa).

Would this be one heck of a wide angle zoom on a 35mm?

Told you it was a backwards (but hopefully not ass backwards) question.

Cheers (there goes the ^%&^ snowplow again!!!!)

Yup.

Yup. With a touch of vignetting.

I've also tried the SMC-DA 12-24 on an MZ10 - zowee that was wide

Here's the 16-45 on a Z1: http://www.pbase.com/mattmatic/smc_da_test

Have fun

Thanks so much Matt!

Looks like we can get away with something at about 20mm - still beats my 28mm lenses.

Off I go!

Cheers
