I love the photos Danny in particulr the 2nd one it gives a good environmantal context.
Were there any problems with people getting too close and causing distress? This was reported alot over the last couple of years.

The 2nd one is new born but unfortunately missed it by just a few minutes!
The temptation was there to crop the 2nd one, but the foreground was left in for the reason you mentioned Dave and I think is the better for it, unfortunately nature isn't cute all the time!
There were no problems that we could see or heard of (mind you, couldn't see much because of the fog!) with everyone staying behind the fence and also avoiding the temptation to touch the youngsters that were right up at fence, so very well behaved overall which was good to see.
Apparently there have been some years where literally hundreds of photographers have gone on to the sand flats and there has been efforts to ask photographers not to go out with the mortality rate dropping very well last year. It's not proven that it's because there were a lot fewer photographers last year, but maybe a factor. If the Nature Trust did there own limited photography tours though, I'd do one in a heartbeat!
