B@W monochrome GR

Latest rumours that Ricoh will release a GR monochrome, before they're new Colour version GR iv.
Maybe in less than six months time. I presume it will be the same crop sensor from the Kiii monochrome inside ?
Street photographers will love this, a Leica killer stealth pocketable.

I think this has been wanted for a few years and if/when it does get released I suspect it will sell out immediately. I've toyed with a K3III monochrome but after thinking it through properly I'd prefer either a Full Frame or a compact, a GRIII or GRIV monochrome would be very tempting to me

Lennybloke, I would echo the same, even if I couldn't afford it.

I think the interview is very cagey, either because Ricoh are looking at it and costs for a monochrome version are high or because they are quite far along with a GR IV and don't want to handicap mark III sales by suggesting that it will soon be obsolete. I agree a monochrome GR would sell well but at this point they need to bring out a mark IV and a mono version of that rather than a mono version of the already quite old mark III.
