Hi Daniel.

I clicked our link, had a look and also looked at some of your other Facebook photo albums.

You've got a really good eye for composition and photography in general, but I'm not going to comment further on the pics because I'm disappointed you're being so damn lazy in promoting your work.

If you can't be bothered to do anything more than post a link to a facebook page then why should we make any effort to comment on individual images?

You work is really good and it deserves better than this.

Impressed with your photography but not impressed with your approach.

Dan, Just my thoughts. I think part of what Smeggy is trying to point out is about the presentation of your work. Perhaps Smeggy thinks it would be better presented via a Flicker Page, Wordpress Blog or your own website? Perhaps a PM to Smeggy for clarification of what he means would help.

Facebook has its uses, but personally I I think your work would be better presented using a different viewing platform. However, you do have some interesting and good work on your Facebook page.

Thanks for your comments Fletcher

I do have other means of presenting my work and having chosen one way I was surprised to find myself called lazy. But then thats the trouble when assumptions are made :sigh:

I think Smeggy is suggesting, if you want people to comment on your photos, then post your photos.

You haven't posted any. Just links

Well I just looked at the photos, and it's an interesting selection that can be enjoyed without having to leave detailed comments.

Maybe a good compromise would be to post a couple in the forum and then provide the link for those who wanted to see more of the style of image? It shouldn't be necessary to post them all here and there's nothing lazy about Dan's photography so far as I can see.

In fact, you seem pretty busy Dan.
Best regards, John

Nobody seen the wood for the trees yet? I dont only shoot with Pentax hence CANT post these pictures direct to the forum!

Thanks ALL for your comments (I mean that) and note that i wasnt necessarily asking people to comment on individual photos

I have just gone to your first link, Daniel, and it certainly opened the shutters on what I consider to be some really fine photography. I have enjoyed and appreciated your work- glad you brought it to my notice

Daniel, I have always found this section of the forum great for detailed 'peeping' at specific shots, and you'll certainly encourage better quality commenting if you provide the photos right here so everyone can see exactly what is being referred to. I suggest you choose a few Pentax ones and put them right on here, and at the bottom the links for checking out more of your stuff in general.

I agree with Smeggy - I've had a quick look at the facebook shots, that site doesn't do much for me so I'm not really drawn to explore much there - but put some on here and I'd be glad to look in much greater detail.

Greg, just wondering if you read my above comment? the initial album wasnt shot on pentax so i obviously couldnt post it here. D

I did read it, but I thought you meant just some images from that album were not Pentax.

So then, how about a few recent ones of the style, shot on Pentax? The we can comment on them here, and those who are interested can go on and explore more with the links.

I liked the style of what I saw BTW - good contrast and bold lines that stand out graphically, very effective B&W, I can appreciate that and I don't really like B&W!
