B&W Landscapes

Our work photography forum has a monthly photo challenge, this months is B&W Landscapes, so I thought I'd give it a shot... I've never really done any B&W conversions before, so really I just played around in Lightroom until I got results I liked... Playing around with the greyscale mix controls produces some interesting results!

Any tips, or recommended settings for doing B&W conversions greatly appreciated







Taken about 30 minutes before sunset, K10D, Sigma 17-70.

Thats a nice psuedo infra red effect you have achieved on the top picture.
