Well, my only critique is that it is too good and makes me look bad

it's great! but is it supposed to be pink? I think i'd prefer it plain B&W

Pure B&W here Thomas, is your monitor calibrated?

Brian,

There is a pink tone to it, I thought it looked rather nice and suited the subject well.

Open the image in photoshop and take a sample with the colour picker, it's not pure grey.

Pink tones here as well.

Not sure about the blur though,

my monitor is not calibrated, and in fact tends to the pink at least near the bottom of the screen (my monitor dramas continue), but it was obviously pinker than Daniels shot on the other thread and so i realised it wasn't B&W.

Ah, but mine has a blue tint...

i'd also like to see a version without the blur, although will reserve judgement which is better until seeing it!

aaargh, you are right of course! funnily enough I can see the blue tint when i open it in photoshop but on the web it looks B&W.

adobe 98 color profile not being read by the browser i guess.....

Is the right eye a little bit too dark? Maybe a bit of filler light to match the other eye more?

Please ignore me if I'm talking nonsense, or better still enlighten me!

Like the shot a lot. A little pink on my Huey calibrated monitor on XP and firefox.

There is a slight purple hue to the image, but I hadn't really noticed in the bright daylight earlier.

Hi all

Ok I'm home now and yes I do see a pink tinge. I've had another play in ACR4...no blurr this time just some sharpening. If Cat sees this she will kill me, I told her I would smooth out her blemishes before I showed it to anyone
