B & W Filter

A KR filter IIRC is a warming filter. The KR1.5 is a skylight, so you have something like an 81A there. 1.2x may be the exposure factor. MCR will be the coating info. F-Pro will be the series of filters from B&W that this one belongs to.

Thanks John - checked against my 81As and it seems darker - so may be a B.

I've found a B&W catalogue, so I can be a bit more specific now.
MRC = multicoating
F-Pro = Standard filter mount, suitable for lenses as wide as 28mm or possibly some at 24mm.
KR3 = warming conversion filter. They have now started using the 81 series labelling, but they do give KR1.5 as being Skylight and KR4 as being 81B, so your KR3 is somewhere between an 81A and 81B. (K will be the German for Conversion and R will be Red. KB filters are blue.)
For those who don't know, B&W filters are made by Schneider Kreuznach.

Many thanks John for the further info.
It's not a very thin filter, even though its a 58mm, so probably won't be rushing to test it on my FA 20-35. Got enough examples of vignetting from misuse of filters to make me a bit more careful as to what goes on what lens.

On the inside, after size, "KR-3 1.2x MCR"
On the outside, "F-PRO"
It has a "warm" tint. Tried the B & W web site, but no luck.
