It's a really nice image, now you have this you can progress to stage 2! Try getting some images of the birds perching in the shrubbery near to the feeders as this will produce a more natural result. There are several methods you could attempt:
- If you have a remote trigger, put the camera on a tripod pointing / focussed on a spot where you know the birds will perch and hide somewhere out of the way. This can get some fantastic close-up results but takes a lot of patience
- Set up a hide near the feeders
- Set up some feeders in your own garden, preferably hung from tree branches so that you get the birds in the trees

I agree with David's advice
I may have to point my lens into other gardens as the birds seem to have vanished from our garden at the moment
Perhaps I should stop putting fat balls out - he's a greedy cat

However, more success today and this is probably the best of the bunch.
It's been cropped a little but could it do with more? Some think that it's a good idea to keep some context in the shot rather than go in too much.
Anyway, I'm quite pleased with this shot but comments welcome.
