A new addition to the garden this year so pleased to see the flowers have photographic potential as well as giving some much needed colour to an otherwise dull corner at this time of the year. Still trying out the FA77 + tubes.

Thoughts and comments welcome as usual.

Nice set Steve - but No.2 is absolutely spot on, the oof petals and the glow are just perfect

Glad you like it, that's the shot I set out to take. It took ages to find an angle that picked out a single flower and get the tripod (and my limbs) in the right position.

No. 1 was the best of the attempts to get several flowers in the same shot and looking half decent. No. 3 was an attempt to give the impression that everything in the plane of the screen/paper is oof and the front petals are coming out towards the viewer. Still a work in progress...

A subtle range of tones throughout the set - 2 is rather the special one for me also.
