Asbestos - 100mm WR

Do you reckon I could see if asbestos is in an Artex ceiling using the 100mm WR?

Fragment of the ceiling of course...

I know a sample could be sent off for 25 quid.

I think the concentration in such ceilings is about 1% if present and that with adequate prep/precuations (mask,googles,suit and a special water based chemical to stop fibre release) it should be OK to remove.

Asbestos is typed under crossed polarisers at a mag of about 400x.

Ceiling might be harder to see, because embedded..

yup, you're looking for individual fibres in a substrate.
