Armed Forces Day - Scarborough

I visited the event last Saturday, for the second time, and it's a great day out, also rich in photo opportunities.

The fliers had some technical issues as the Hurricane was a last minute stand in for a Spitfire and I could only count 8 of the Reds. Which made some of the formations a little odd!

All taken with a K-1 and 150-450.

Any comments and criticism welcome.

Great shots.. sort of disproves that oft stated comment here that photos are fast moving objects can't be captured in focus on a Pentax so me must go to where the grass is greener.
I photographed the red arrows that day from my back garden (there's one taken for the monthly comp.)

For me they don't even have to be moving!
I must say the 150-450 has done well, I'm pretty sure you could recognise the RA pilot if you knew them. Surprised he didn't give you a wave!

I like the first one and the sideways Hurricane. The last is pretty spectacular too.

A few seem to suffer from a very gray sky. I know we cannot control the weather, but perhaps over exposing them a bit might have brightened the background a little

Thanks Peter.
Maybe I need to have a look at the white balance, it was blue sky most of the time.

A good set Barrie. The last shot is a pip.

Best regards
Too far from a shore.
