I find the colour version too busy and prefer the cleaner lines of the BW one.

I prefer the colour version, but have you tried cropping the right hand side to lose the strip of sky?

Thanks all - a fairly even split between BW and colour for preferences. Good to see the diversity here.
Barrie - I did look at that crop a couple of times. I can see perfectly good reasons why that strip ought not to be there. And yet...

I like this, I would like to see the whole uncropped image as the final version, for me it creates a lot more interest on a more abstract level.
Also, I wonder if you can find more detail in the underside of the roof to balance some interest there?
B&W is a preferred option for this type of image, for me.
i-berg, can you post a smaller version so that I am able to appreciate the whole image due to the size of my monitor, which is only 19"?

Thanks - and please feel free to grab it from my 'Melbourne' pbase gallery (as per my signature), and adjust it in whatever way that suits. The detail (or lack of) under the roof was admittedly a pay-off for retaining the strip of sky on the RHS. The RAW file actually has a little more detail which is not visible here.
