It'll probably work in manual mode as cameras normally fire on the centre contact, makes will vary as to the position of the other contacts and their functions.
Nikons probably being more sophisticated than most due to the info shared between flash and camera and how they work as commander and slave.

Would a Pentax version of the Trigmaster II work on another make do you think? They probably wouldn't make different versions unless the hotshoe has a different configuration but who knows?
Any risk in trying?
A mate is letting me borrow his Nikon and I wouldn't want to damage it.
