Apple Blossom time

I bought a set of bare root fruit trees early last year and planted them in a variety of large-ish pots. They didn't do much last spring but this year they have really taken and are showing some lovely blossom. These are taken with with the SMC Pentax A 100mm f2.8 Macro lens on the K1 MkII, it is truly a beautiful lens to use - focus is smooth yet firm and the results rarely disappoint (best viewed large) ....

I've compared the images I get from this lens against the recent HD Pentax-D FA 100mm F2.8 ED AW Macro and although the new lens is technically superior (almost no fringing, better contrast, rounded aperture blades, etc.) the experience of using the A series macro is just so pleasurable

I think the last but one has a bit too much crammed in but the remainder of them are really lovely. I know what you mean about using the older lenses even if the modern ones are 'superior'.
Both the *istDS and the K5 are incurably addicted to old glass
