AP Pentax Comment

Interesting to see the Leader by Damian Demolder in this weeks AP:

ONE MIGHT not usually compare Pentax DSLRs and buses, but it seems a good time to do so. Yes, some Pentax cameras are red, and yes they have stops, bells and whistles, but my reason for noting any resemblance between them is that they seem to appear in groups, as do buses, where you wait for ages and then they all turn up together. In the space of a month three Pentax DSLRs have arrived, after a serious drought and a period in which the enthusiast had a choice of only two models. The 35mm-style DSLR range has doubled from two to four, and now we have a medium-format camera, too. Is this is the beginning of a new Pentax? All we need now is a full-frame body and a micro system camera, and well have a wider range than any other company can offer. You might not use a Pentax camera now, but if you are over 40 years of age there's a very good chance you did once. And like those big red London buses, perhaps we've all got a soft spot for Pentax.

Apart from the reference to FF it's good to see the Brand being talked about

I'm pretty sure the 645d will drop in price dramatically once a newer model 645d II comes out.... with a sixty or eighty mp sensor....
after recovering development cost there is nothing to stop them from knocking off a grand or two...
so who'd want FF then?
Fired many shots. Didn't kill anything.

Don - also on the AP site apparently the 645 is due in Uk earlier - next month I believe.

I noticed the FF comment too. Pentax had a fair bit in the news section this week.

It is an illusion that photos are made with the camera… they are made with the eye, heart and head. Henri Cartier-Bresson
Lots of film bodies, a couple of digital ones, too many lenses (mainly older glass) and a Horseman LE 5x4.
