it might be... I don't know if the SMC tak 55 is something to try out on my DS with the m42 to K adapter.
Pentacon have made some nice lenses in the days that they were used a lot on Praktica camera's.
I just don't know any of the listed lensen and I was just wondering if someone here did.

The Tak is a great lens, you'll like it. Praktica lenses were never great IMHO and the the third I've never heard of.

Takumars are what Pentax called their best lenses in the screw-mount era.
SMC Takumars were the best lenses you could buy from any Japanese manufacturer.
If your lens is in good nick, the focus ring will move as smoothly as silk bathed in pure Jersey cream. Even the Limiteds can't compete with a good screw-mount Takumar.
The Travegon was made in Germany, and might be quite a decent lens. Some people used them on Leicas.
No idea about the Pentacon.
The Tak should make a lovely portrait lens. Soft and creamy wide-open, sparkling when stopped down a little.
