Just a bit of a question to ask regarding a lens, I'd like to see if any of our users have a 645z to help me test something.

Cheers.

Hi
Have a 645z and 2 645N ii. A wide assortment of lenses works well on both systems. So what is your questions

PM'd

I think a 645D might work too. I just need a bit of equipment testing haha. It's a strange request so I can't really post it too publicly.

I've got a lens that I need to get tested and used to make sure everything is working as I expect it to. I was planning on buying a 645Z earlier this year but that didn't work out.

Hopefully someone on here will be able to borrow a nice lens for a bit and I get a bit of feedback without needing a body in front of me immediately - prices have jumped a little bit since last year when I had to get rid of mine.

I know I'm a tad late to the party here, HarisF1, but was wondering what it was that was made you think about buying another 645z? I'm happy with my K1ii and lenses various, but have been intrigued by MF. I may go for one eventually but am interested in other's experience of this camera. I've seen some absolutely stonking images from a number of others on this site, so will be interested in their responses.

I've been mulling over the 645z because I want to remain in the Pentax universe - I'm comfortable with it and don't want to learn another operating system, (I've written about this elsewhere.) Obviously I've looked at the Hasselblad x1d ii 50c but that's only because I'm a superficial photography tart easily swayed by a fancy looking piece of gear. (Mea culpa.)

It's not for professional use, that's for sure. I mainly snap portraits and 'journal' style images of my family so I enjoyed using the 645Z for this. The larger sensor and aspect ratio makes images look great although I guess the K-1 is capable of meeting my needs with a slight crop.

It's an itch as always. For someone like Chrism8 it means more as he gets good use out of his - he'll probably be able to add more to this discussion.

Otherwise, the 645Z feels very much like a large K mount camera, there's very little learning or adjustment required. If you need the MF sensor, go for it!
