I don't know what I'm really 'supposed' to say in C&C so please forgive me if this is uncalled for. Just let me know and I will delete if you like.

If I came across this judging and was asked for an honest C&C, I'd start by commenting that there are those who might think it's not the most interesting photo ever made. Technically, it's sort of a bit in between. Ie although it's taken at 1/20 to blur movement I can't help but wondering if it might not have been more effective to make the exposure even longer, if that was the effect that you were looking for. The thing is it's close enough to frozen movement that rather than looking deliberately blurred in terms of a long exposure it just comes across as unfocused. Lastly the blue thing at the topleft, seems incongruous. I can't ident it =)
... just another middle-aged guy with a hobby. I have an extreme macro learning site at extreme-macro.co.uk - Pentax-centric, your feedback and comments would be appreciated!

Thanks for your honesty and I can see exactly what you mean. As regards the blue thing I hadn't even noticed it, I must go to specsavers

"...and this was the last photo taken by the scout freighter Ulysses XIII just before it was sucked in by the black hole's massive gravity.

How they were able to take a photo considering what black holes are, will remain a mystery to this day."

- Intergalactic Journal Dated 6547
- Photo Taken by Captain John S. Wirk
- Camera used was a Ricoh Pentax K-Maximum

-------------------------

Seriously though, it's not the best, but I like how it turned out, could be used for some science fiction fan-art!

The photo was taken with the ISO set to infinity and by jacking up the power of the dilithium crystals quite a simply procedure.

Thanks for the comment
