I am thinking about bidding for this flash but would like to know if i am making the right choice. I have a couple of family functions coming up and im thinking this would be ideal?
The seller goes into a lot of detail about the the flash but unfortunatley most of what he says is completely over my head So if anyone can help me i would be most appreciative.

I intend using it on my K100D. Thanks

This is a cheap, simple, fairly low-power, Hanimex auto-flash, which will only work in manual mode on your camera.

Auto-flashes can be OK, but don't pay much for it. You'll have to use your on-camera flash to trigger it, or pay more money for an adapter and cable.

First thing I noticed was that he hasn't named the manufacturer (unless I missed it). Secondly, if it's as good as he says, why is he selling it?
Personally, I wouldn't bother.

I made a hammerhead gun out of a Pentax hot shoe grip (which I modified) + bracket and I can put any flash unit on top, I've used AF500FTZ, aF360FGZ (wirelessly triggered) and a AF540FGZ (wireless or wired triggering).

Yes.

Assuming it has a slave sensor, or you add one. The alternative, as I said, is a hotshoe-pc adapter and cable.
