Yet another great set from last year, I'm loving this series. Outstanding for me among this classy collection are the two minimalist shots, Beach grasses and paper edges but again the whole collection is a delight to view.

These are absolutely superb I love them all but especially Temporarily closed, Baltic wave and Beach grass abstract.

Can I ask what camera/lens combinations were used to capture these shots, and did you use a tripod?

Thanks, John.

Beach grass abstract and Temporarily closed were taken with the DA* 16-50, the latter with tripod. (which I almost always have with me when out for photos). The Baltic wave was taken from a moving ship, so no use for a tripod. Lens was Sigma 70-300 APO DG Macro. And all with the K-5.

David, i also find that the minimalist ones are the ones I always like to go back to.

Thanks Tim and Doug!

These images are a joy to view, they are varied, skilfully taken / processed, artistic, technically and aesthetically superb. Thank you for sharing them with us.

A highly accomplished set. My favourites are the two beach-grass shots.

Great set Ralf, really well crafted images and a few there that I don't recall having seen.

Rain Front and Baltic Wave fit in with my kind of photography, but all the others are wonderful too. Excellent set.

July and November are by far my favourites - both superb!! , with 3rd prize going to April.

I do like abstracts, but January and September do nothing for me. Far too minimalist for my liking

Sublime set of shots, well done Ralph! I love those beach huts looking like a modern art installation, and the calm mirror-like flatness of those Baltic Sea shots.
