Anonymous C&C

One of the things which seems to have become a little difficult on the forum lately is honest C&C. Whenever a picture is posted it is hard for feedback to be given for the risk of upsetting the taker.

So, how about a daily 'random' C&C picture. Every day anyone can upload a picture (somewhere and somehow) and one is randomly shown on the site the next day, but without the photogrpaher being identified. There would only be a day for comments, one per person, so it cannot develop into an argument.

We would need anyone uploading a picture to agree that ALL feedback is allowed without complaining and ask commenters to be as constructive as possible.

Thoughts?

I'm not aware of any difficulty in giving or receiving C&C. Perhaps I'm just an insensitive brute but if I see an image I want to C&C I do so respectfully and I am always happy to receive any comments as that's how you learn from the the experience of others.

Make it complicated and it just won't work. That's my feeling anyway.

I like honest CC. So I hope THIS possibility will stay. I want to re-ask some things, when I am commented.

I guess I will be not often commenting the "random" CC place.

Its just wise to add a sentence or smile to the CC - showing that you have no bad intentions.

I think that comes at things from the wrong direction.
If C&C is asked for then it should be accepted..good and bad.
As long as it is constructive criticism we shouldn't be afraid to hear it. The quid pro quo is that when giving C&C it should always be respectful and constructive.

If we all agree to that, then there is no need for another way of doing things.

IMHO..of course
Getting there! Thanks to you guys

Totally agree, if C&C is invited, it should be accepted, provided that it is constructive. I have learnt quite a bit through following C&C post`s. Am sure it is good for the ego when someone post`s a "lovely shot" comment, but it does`nt do much for ones developement, equaly "it`s no good" does`nt help much either.

Not a good idea. IMO. And for the following reason.
I am always willing to give C&C. And believe me....It is always honest

But....Being around for a while and getting to know the members, including the new ones I always try to give C&C based on their level of experience.

For instance: A photo posted by Gartmore(to mention a heavyweight) would receive C&C on an other level as for instance a relative newbie who just learned the basics of their first DSLR. I like to know with who I am dealing.

Martin.
Best regards,

Martin.

Thinking about it I quite like this idea, but wonder if it might be a bit difficult to organise.

I'm with Martin on this one, honest C&C based on the photographers experience and we wont need any fancy system of annonynimity (is that a real word?:blush
It should be made clear to members that by posting an image they have to accept any justifiable C&C without their bottom lip coming out or the taking home of balls.

Ahhhh that's why I ALWAYS get crappy feedback for my poor photos

p.s.or maybe i just suck at photography uh?
p.p.s. I also disagree with the OP idea. THere is an amazing site for only photo's C&C. Its called Woophy, and I strongly suggest you try it out
