Thanks all for a very warm welcome! I'll be out tomorrow night if the weather holds. The UK weather is a source of endless frustration when it comes to astrophotography

Very impressive set! Interesting technique in merging an astrotracer shot of the sky with a "conventional" shot of the ground. Normally when merging panos I just let Lightroom sort the merge point out, but for this, do you need to do it manually?

My thoughts too. Using the astrotracer results in a blurred foreground, so what do you use to merge the groundshot with the sky?

My basic workflow goes like this:
I take two images of the foreground (if it has some sky in it, which it usually does) one with astrotracer and one without
Take 2, 3 or 4 shots of the sky with astrotracer
All the above as raw files
Import into lightroom, do some basic processing - exposure up a bit, shadows up etc
Export tiffs
Load foreground shots into photoshop and blend then save as tiff
Stitch foreground tiff and others
Import back into lightroom for final processing
It sounds long winded, but its about an hours work.
