And to generate a wry smile ...

I was at the Museum at Wright Patterson AFB in Ohio preceding my visit to Oshkosh. It is very dark in there, so I had my AF-540FGZ flash on the K10D w/ battery grip and DA 16-45mm lens.

A gentleman in his fifties (guess) approached me while I was busy doing my "thing" and asked what equipment I was using. Please note how important this is. Not "How are you compensating for the lack of light" or "It's pretty dark in here" or "Great exhibits, hey?" I had noticed he had a N-ikon something-or-other (I couldn't be bothered to notice which).

When I answered it was Pentax equipment, he asked "How do you like it?", to which I replied "I really like it a lot and am very happy with it." He immediately turned around and walked off mumbling "Of course..."

I'm not sure what reply he was expecting, but it certainly seems like he didn't get it. It DOES sound as though he's heard that reply before.
