An Urban Abstract...

I spotted these layers on a steel-plated sign bolted to a wall near a bus-stop in Shoreditch, London.

I like that one Paul, it reminds me of the inlay card from an old Stone Roses CD... Good spot.

Rare to see a colour shot from you Pauly! Like the layers and earth colours in this one.

Thanks, guys.

Pentax', most of the time and with what I shoot, colour only works in the extreme sense, for me. Only when its vitally important do I use it. Cheers.

Textures are really interesting - an unusual shot!
Photography is putting one’s head, one’s eye, and one’s heart on the same axis. HCB

It is nicely textured, as Ken says - good shot Paul

An absolute cracker, it looks like a Rodchenko painting.

Very well spotted. As Gartmore said it could be taken for a painting.

Abstract photography at its best.

paulyrichard, your photo is absolutely abstract and good one

What about this one?

It's a negative scan from Fuji 200 push to iso 640.

Thanks very much, guys.

I find these tardy layers to be quite a rare thing in the city. They're definately worth photographing if you can find 'em 'cos they're transient, too.
The remains of unsuccessfully steam-cleaned walls with new layers of graffiti applied and so forth, provide good hunting grounds for abstracts like this, I guess.

Karma', the side of the van has some perspective illusion going on, I don't see it as abstract though. Cheers for showing.

The first thing I thought when I saw it was 'Album Cover'! Great minds think alike!

Nice work Pauly.
If you can't say something nice about Pentax, you won't say anything at all.

Apparently.

That would look great framed and hung on a wall Pauly.
