I prefer the colour one as well, you may be able to push the processing a bit more on the B&W to give it a greater dramatic feel.

In my view also, the colour version is more effective than the mono. I also agree with NIgel's comment regarding the colour balance - in fact, on my screen the image seems to have a magenta bias. It becomes a stunning image for me when the colour balance is adjusted so as to make the sky a deep blue, and darkened slightly and gradually towards the top.

Love that plane! My dad is ex RAF so it's close to our families heart. I was luckily enough to photograph it on it's last tour of the UK over St Athans
