Amaryllis.

My wife had an amaryllis for Christmas and it provided something new to photograph. These were taken on a Pentax KP with a Pentax 18-135mm zoom and a Tamron 90mm Macro lens.

Thanks for your comments. There are only a few days between the closed and the open flower shots and the thing is now growing two more flowers.... it's taking over. But at least it gives me something else to shoot while we can't get out.

I'm with Gareth - 3 takes the game for me composition wise, but also for its very deep red/purple colour.
