There was, because I posted it! I would imagine it was removed as the item had sold (which normally happens).

It also get deleted when the product is in back order, so when the product is available again 3 days later you can add it again.

That seller (possibly a member on here) has always had Pentax gear on his website. Quite a good online copy of the catalogue here link
He's also got a SMC Pentax-F 50mm f/1.4 for £269 which I'm tempted by because I wasn't happy with the FA I had. Just bought a CZ 35mm f/2.4 Flektogon so I'll probably give the 50mm a miss. Here's the ebay link

There is no such policy, it depends on individual circumstances.

One of my posts was deleted because the product was unavailable but it was in back order though.

I thought it sounded as though you had something on your mind Stefan. There's no general policy on that, it depends on circumstances. If something is unavailable there's little point it being flagged up. Sometimes they come back into stock, sometimes not, but it's not kept track of in that way.
Best regards, John

Hope you enjoy it - I tend to post links for BIN listings of this lens or the K version as they're incredible value for money. Sharp, compact, and well made. I don't really think you can beat them as a standard lens for your DSLR, short of spending a lot more money on a current AF prime or DA* zoom. Ah,
understood.

Obviously I won't post auctions as someone may be watching them and hoping nobody else notices!

I think the days of spotting a bargain that nobody else sees are long gone, unless you spend long hours searching for Pantex or pentex or other such; they still occasionally come up. Obviously I won't post auctions as someone may be watching them and hoping nobody else notices!
I seem to recall in the original lead there where a few not so enthusiastic comments posted about this particular version, or perhaps I was imagining that as well. :

It isn't quite as good as the K version at f3.5, but stop down to f8 or so and they're even. I generally just left it on f8 with focus set to infinity, pressed the button to stop down/meter, then took the photo. Thanks to the depth of field most subjects were in focus when you had a decent composition that way, and the lens hit a definite sweet spot for sharpness there too.
The lenses now turn out on my film SLRs when I want a wide angle - the K will be going to Goodwood FoS attached to a KX for the static displays, allowing me to leave the 50-135mm on the K-m for the action shots.
I thought I was bad enough with the K and M versions, let alone two M's!

That`s nothing Matt, I once owned 4 F35-70s, only ever put them on a camera to check for functionality, and God only knows how many 50mm there are laying around my shelves gathering dust.I thought I was bad enough with the K and M versions, let alone two M's
Must have a clearout.
