Col , thanks for SRS link but while waiting for them to get back to me with a part-ex price for my Contax gear I have missed that amazing price £659 including the cashback.

The K5 will give you more bangs for your buck than any other camera on the market.
I paid nearly £1200 last year for the twin lens kit. Seems a lot now. I wouldnt have missed the last 12 months with my K5 for a trifling few hundred quid though .
It really is comparable to the Canon 7D and the Nikon D300s- whilst it may not quite compete in terms of auto focus it does just about everywhere else, for the difference in price you could buy one of those lovely DA ltds (possibly two!).

Hello and welcome, imo everything that is said about the K5 is true - it is a very good camera, I am more than happy with it, got mine in May, paid more for it than it is now available for, but, like the above comment, would not have been without it in order to save some money

I used to shoot loads ten years ago maybe more with my Contax 139 Quartz then everything got digital and I got lazy and went from my slr to an 8 meg mini sony.The reason for my sudden change....... I was caught short in Peppa Pig World only using my phone and running out of juice ,swore it would never happen again missed some awesome shots of my daughter in the Muddy Puddle bit does this mean anything to anyone???????????Have been checking you guys out and Even though I might as well be Peppa Pig when it comes to DSLRs Iknow I have made the right choice in both camera and forum .I am looking forward to learning a massive amount hopefully I will remember a bit.I have ordered from John Lewis should I take out their 3 year extended warranty £47?Sorry a bit long for a Hello
