Thanks for all the welcoms I'm looking foreward to participating in this forum.
A little bit about my background photographically.
I studied photographic technology at Red River Community College, Winnipeg in 1975. I then worked several years in newspapers and school photos. in 1984 I opened my own comercial studio. I did all sorts of photos including industrial, groups, portraiture, Architectural and Arial.
In 1989 I went to work for a production lab where I supervised the operation of the lab and personally did all the custom enlargements. At the same time I trained all the other photographers, shot weddings and Family reunions. I started off with that company shooting my pair of Blads but it wasn't too long before I started using the P 645 s the studio 0wned Truth is the Blads haven't been out of the cases for almost twenty years.
There is no more fun way to make a living than through photography but my hat is off to those few who actually make a lot of money at it.

G'Day and welcome Noel.
BTW - it appears you do some 'float'-flying?

I have just been on the phone with a friend who told me of this forum and because I've had a fair amount of experience with Pentax cameras (film) I decided to catch up on the digital systems. I have used my friend's Pentax DSLR and there is no doubt about it I have to get one in the near future.
I live on the side of the North Atlantic ocean (about 40 feet away) in Newfoundland Canada and will be posting pics just as soon as I get my new camera!
