After Lens Adjustment?

Hi Guys,
When you have done a lense focus adjustment on a K20D pressed the ok button twice etc, dose the camera save it? if yes I take it the camera remembers that lens until the adjustment is changed?

I'v just done my DA 55-300 and had to set it at -3 to bring the focus back inline and its seems to be spot on now..

Thanks in advance.
Tel,

Tel, Yes, the camera saves and remembers the setting once you've pressed OK twice. That's all you need to do.

Barrie, The K10D's AF Adjustment applies to all lenses. The K20D is different in that you can set individual adjustments for individual lenses, though it has a universal option too. In either case, it is the camera that is being adjusted, but the way it behaves with a lens/all lenses.

The AF focus adjustment on K10D is very different to that of the K20D. The K20D has a 20 lens memory, the K10D has either one (same adjustment applied to all lenses) or four lens memory, depending on which forums you read and believe.

I have a K10D with kit lens and DA50-200 the auto focus is spot on. However when I use the Tamron 28-300 the focus is not quite as it should be. Now, following the previous comments on this thread somewhere in the K10D is a menu for setting individual lens focus points. But where on earth is it buried? and how do I adjust for the Tamron and leave the Pentax glass alone? Or should I bury the K10 and stretch out for a K20?

Credirc, good luck searching because there isn't one on your K10D that feature only is on the K20D.

There is software that enables the Debug menu in the K10D and you can adjust autofocus there but you adjust it for the whole system so for every lens.

The new bodies will come this year if they bring something out on time

Thanks Stefan, I will stop looking now. I don`t want to do a global adjustment because the Pentax lens`s are ok. My daughter has a K200D and I think she may have a similar issue. I wonder if the K200D has individual adjustment.

Thanks Terry, guess the old Enfield will have to go now. Need to finance a K20D methinks.

It's the one feature I'd like from the K20D but I can't justify it.

Oh yes but the problem is that all his other lenses focus fine except the tamron, so if he use the software to get the focus right for the tamron all his other lenses would be out of focus.

So what should be done in that case? Can anything be done? Would you test all your camera/lens combinations and find an average setting where none are correct but none too far away?
