Advice re sensor cleaning function
Have two marks that will not budge with the built in shake.
I need to go to the next stage and do a sensor clean with a swap....gulp!

Don't worry,
Just make sure you only wipe the sensor ONCE in each direction (that is: from left to right, then right to left, using each side of the swab only once) and you'll be fine.
I had a group of dust spots on my Kx which would not budge, until I used the swab....now ....clean as a whistle!, and has been ever since.

I tend to use an Artic Butterfly, generally removes the need for a wet wash and tbh only need to us it 3 or 4 times a year, and I prob shoot over 500 frames a month on average.
The k-5 usingthe ultrasonic HF cleaning I've never had to clean either K-5s sensor for over 2 years since I've had them. Impressed

I had to regularly wet clean my K10D and K20D sensors, which had the Low frequency sensor cleaner.

Just had my K30 sensor cleaned I parted with hard earned cash as I have learned from experience that I am a ham fisted oaf.
I find with my K5 the sensor needs a clean every year or so.

I have 2 Pentax bodies:
When I run the sensor cleaning function from the menu settings....
Kx - vibrates quite loudly and I can feel things shaking!
K5 - nothing happens.... no noise and no vibration.
Question is, is this how it should work on the K5?
Appreciate any advice
thanks
Sam
