FWIW, I lost LR 5 in a recent meltdown, but got it back this morning after a lot of searching and work on the Adobe website - maybe some day I'll actually get around to using it
On reflection today, I think I might uninstall LR because that seems that it has dramatically increased (like doubled) the laptop boot-up time
K-3 II, K-3 and a K-70 from SRS (having now relegated the K-30 /"K-50" to a backup body), & some Sigma and Pentax lenses (and a lot of old 35mm gear!)

I am curious, as so many have had issues it seems. Could this be related to running older OS systems and slightly older, possibly slower PC's and Laptops?
For the record, I hate Lightroom, can't get on with it at all.

W.r.t. my comment about the effects of installing LR reflect the issues I think I'm seeing after having to completely rebuild a W7 Pro installation on a new EVO 850 ssd and then reinstalling LR - the boot time seems to have doubled from about 25s to nearly a minute. OTOH, could also be due to having mapped a number of drives attached to a NAS and telling the OS to reconnect to them on log-on (??)
PS: the laptop in question is a Samsung 355 series with an AMD A8 quad core processor - albeit that it is 5yrs old.
