Adobe Lightroom 3

I use Adobe Elements 10, which i like but keep seeing people talk about Photoshop and Lightroom. I simply cannot entertain buying Photoshop but Lightroom maybe affordable.....just.
With a quick Google search i noticed that PC World are selling the older Lightroom 3 Full Version for £40. Is it worth it?

I would say it was worth it, but LR4 has a much better processing "engine" and now LR5 is out ( same engine as LR4 ), you could probably get a great deal on LR4.

They are two different things really. You'd use either photoshop or elements as an editor which you send images to from lightroom as and when you need the little extra.

That's brilliant, many thanks. So Lightroom sits alongside PS or Elements, didn't realise that.
I'll do another Google search and see if anyone has an LR4 deal. Just read that its debatable whether LR5 is worth any extra as its only really a service pack for LR4 or a light patch. Not my words i hasten to add, picked up from some reviews and forum talk.
