Adding power to "Element"

Photoshop Elements contains quite a few tools that are pulled directly from CS. Some of those tools are inter twined with other tools, so instead of separating the tools, Adobe has just "locked" those other tools. Now comes Richard Lynch. Since the first release of Elements, he's worked to release those hidden tools, like "fusion masks" and "channel mixer". You can go to his website to download those "power tools" too.
