Adding frames from internet to E40

That was a quick hello,

Now for some thing more technical,


I have the E40, and it has just 3 standard frames to choose from.

from the Pentax site, I have downloaded additional frames .

I am having problems getting tha camera to see the new frames.

is there a step - by - step, or a "dummies guide" please

I have absolutely no idea what you mean by "frames". But if you mean a kind of digital picture frame, then I imagine you would be much better advised to add these things on your computer, rather than in-camera. Much more choice and flexibility.

Some cameras do have built-in digital frames, but, as george says, it's really a much better idea to add these on the computer.

Personally I'm not a great fan of digital frames and prefer just a simple white line or black line arounf the image at the most.

I've handled a (non Pentax) camera with these sorts of frames and they were stored in a folder on the memory card. If the Optio is the same, then when you connect the card to the computer (I'd recommend a card reader to save your batteries, plus they're dirt cheap these days) you'll see two folders at the root; one which holds the pictures that the camera takes and one that holds frames. Adding new ones should be as simple as dragging and dropping your new frames to this folder and then putting it back in the camera.

I have an M40 ((the same in respect to the frames as yours) and though I've not actually used the frames, I've just tried downloading a couple to try it out. and you just copy them onto the SD card, in the FRAME folder. Then, when you go into Frame mode, they're there to select from.
