Yup, like this you mean? I haven't tried it myself but others have including Clarky and Anvh.
Best wishes, Kris.

It is an illusion that photos are made with the camera… they are made with the eye, heart and head. Henri Cartier-Bresson
Lots of film bodies, a couple of digital ones, too many lenses (mainly older glass) and a Horseman LE 5x4.

I have one ring which works that way although I don't know the proper name for it..., nor where it came from I'm afraid (useless I am). It's a metal ring with a 49mm thread one side and a 52mm thread the other so I can (for example) screw it into the filter thread of my 50-200mm lens and then reverse a prime 50mm lens on the front of it. It makes for good magnification but you need to get really close to the subject and give some decent support to the whole thing because it ends up bit weighty. Think it would work better as you suggest with two prime lenses...

Try SRB Griturn,
http://www.srb-griturn.com/camera-adaptors-306-c.asp
they sell a big range of adaptors,I've used them and found them to be decent quality and reasonably priced.
They have reversing rings listed here -

They sometimes go to the Wolverhampton camera fair which isn't that far from Stafford.
