Adaptall-2 28/2.5 tip

Having acquired a K-A Adaptall-2 adapter, I started playing around with my A-2 28mm, f2.5 lens. Of course, the focusing direction is opposite to Pentax. This was never a big problem hung on a film camera, but stuck on the front of my K200 it is a bit more inconvenient.
A rummage through the box of odds and ends revealed a Nikon W-62 lenshood. This is a clamp-on-the-outside type and just fits the Tamron a treat. Now, instead of gripping the focus ring between thumb and forefinger, the adjustment can be made by using the clamp screw as a (very short) lever. Changing the mode of operation means that the "reverse direction" no longer feels wrong (cognitive psychology strikes again).
For me, the combination feels well balanced.
I imagine that there must be other combinations of lens and clamp-on hood that would fit together as well, and give a short "focussing lever".

and then there's all the M42 kit, and the accessories ...
