accidently deleted pics

Being new to my gx10 and software i have accidently deleted some pictures off the memory card. My card had two different directories, with two lots of pictures on, i downloaded one lot then deleated all the pics on the card. Has anyone tried image recovery software, if so where can i find it and does it work, I have swapped ourt the card from the camera to my spare while i try to resolve this one. HELP!!!!

Yes, you can get most or all of the images back and there is free software on the web to enable you to do this. Artplus Digital Photo Recovery is the one we have used with success. There are others.

If recovery is not successful, try formatting the card and trying again. With some cards we found that this brought back a few more images.

Most important - stop using the card until you can use this software. If you take any more pictures, they may overwrite the ones you have deleted.

john, thanks for the tip, i am recovering the jpeg files with artplus, i am not yet sure if the software will find the samsung raw files, however some recovery is much better than none.

First of all don't use the damaged memorey card all again in your camera. Make the saved pictures in it recovered with using the Free Photo Recovery. make it scanned and than only insert it in your camera. This software is good and can do recovery of whole lost and deleted picture files. This is great to be used as my damaged images has also got recovered.
