Okay, something completly different then birds.
Someone was talking about food colouring here on this forum, but I've used something else for this.
I hope you like it and I dare you to give some C&C

I quite like this one. It has the most post processing of all the photos, the others only had very little.
I was listening to Je T'aime...Moi non Plus while working on this one, quite fitting song some how. Here is the song if you don't know what I mean imeem.com
Je t’aime, je t’aime, Oh oui je t’aime
Moi non plus
Oh mon amour
Comme la vague, irrésolue
Je vais, je vais et je viens
Entre tes reins
Je vais et je viens
Entre tes reins
Et je me retiens

Lovely right, they don't make songs like that anymore

Not so happy about this one but oh well, I like the effect on how the glass is shown. 1/3 second hand-held

I'm Quite pleased how this one came out. I've used some soft-layers to come to this result, very little of anything else.

Thank you for looking, reading and maybe even listening

Hi Stefan, number 1 is a little over processed for me. The colours are clipping it seems & the graduation of colour are what these kind of shots are about.

Number 2 I like as a peice of art. It looks like a watercolour painting & I like the way you cannot see the full outline so you have to follow the suggestion of a shape.

Number 3; I like the purple & blue graduation but not so much the hard edge of the glass bottom & the large portion of white to the left. This is jarring with the lovely soft colours.

The last two are very original & a project to follow up next time it's raining outdoors !!

Thank you RR

#1 I did process the first one like said but I didn't pull the colours that hard but tried to get a contrast in them. Maybe went a bit iver the top with that. Will try to get more gradution in it tomorrow.

#2 That was really pure luck that it came out of that. The only thing that bothers me is the high lights or little sparkels on the base of the glass. Just need to find another way how to light it better.

Sometime ago I also did something like that but differendly with a whiskey bottle. The bottle didn't catch the light but the dust on it did catch it so you have this faint outline with an old feeling.
Will upload that one tomorrow, you might like it

#3 that was what I liked about it though the softness against the hard glass. The left part has been kept white to get some balans, I might try a crop on it and see how it is.

Once again thank and I will try your advice and see how it works.
If you wanna have a go for it yourself when it is raining, a polarizer is a must.

Nice shots Stefan, the white background is a bit bright for me, but it's nice to see something different.

Number two for me.
As RR says, I like the way the glass isn't clearly defined, merely suggested.
Getting there! Thanks to you guys

The third one is my favourite of the bunch, its a very nice abstract. Although croppin' an inch off the left side would improve the shot IMO.

very nice.
number 2 and 3 for me.
You could imagine them on the wall of a trendy wine bar.
number 1 is a little obvious and I agree about the over-processing on it.

More lessons in Dutch from Stefan

I like #2 and #3 the most. I agree with cropping some of the left of #3.

Anyone of a certain age in the UK knows the song Je t'aime - it is notorious for having been banned by the BBC. And I see what you are getting at regarding #1 and the song

I remember when it reached No. 1 and because it was banned the voiceover/DJ on the BBC program "Top of the Pops" had to announce "It's Number 2... It's Top of the Pops" instead of the usual "It's Number 1... It's Top of the Pops" when the played the video for the No.2 song.

Thank you all for your comments.

To make talking a bit easier this the original of the first one, straight out of the camera.

If you simply brigthen it to get the white background and at a bit of saturation you already get the result as above, most work is in the removing the dark glass and the other blue. You can still see a hint of it in the left lower corner. It may look overprocessed but I didn't do much, propable the saturation killed it.

I've being croping with the third shot, first the purple was just over the third line. The black line almost vertical in the base on the glass is on the third line now.

Better:

They make the perfect titles Gwyn and I believe that everyone knew what I mean, certainly when they saw the photos.

Was it really banned in the UK, sweet
It always make me laugh when they are saying that the musics these days only goes over sexs and that teens are doing it earlier because of it.
Somehow I always think, that those people missed some songs when they were younger

BTW do you know the meaning of the song, because she sings "I love you, I love you, Oh yes I love you" He then answers "Nor do I".
That makes you think right

Definitely #3 for me, though I do like #2 as well. It's a good idea that probably needs some more work on it.
#3 I do like as is, I think I prefer the first version you posted.

I used to do a sort of "water show" for school kids as a job when I studied, the ink drop in the water bowl was one of the experiments. It's a wonderful experiment, no two are the same and the kids were always fascinated in an instant.
We used that as the entry experiment and it never failed it's charm.

Thank you Prieni.
#2 needs some working in deed, if I can only remember the lighting.
#3 I also do like the first one. The colour is just too dominant in the second one.

It even works for adults I can tell you
It's just the way it moves, evolved and interact... just facinating.
I see that you're an engineer, what kind of engineering if I may ask?
