I took the smaller roads back home from Rochefort this past summer, and stumbled upon a semi-ruin of a Cistercian abbey in Trizay, Vendée. There's always plenty of light (or at least some) at play in such places...

And the whole premises was surrounded by an ocean of corn fields:

I have a feeling I'll get back there next summer...

Beautiful set, given me the inspiration to try mono on the Saxon/Norman Churches that i shot in colour 5 yrs ago.
