I've just bought one and so far think its very good. Inks not the cheapest but as it's new I'm sticking with the genuine inks. Paper I've used is Epson Premium Glossy Photo Basis weight 255 gms
and Ryman own brand Photo Gloss 150gsm, the Ryman was on special offer three for two when I bought it. Obviously not the same quality as Epson but give a good print and needs a bit more care when handling it. Paper was A3.

I have an Epson 1400 which I'm very pleased with - the print quality and controls are amazing.
The downside is availability and price of the ink tanks - the best price that I can find at the moment is around £ 11.00 each (for genuine Epson).

Nice review here - the Canon PIXMA MG8220 is the one I'd vote for as value for money (about $300). link
