Shrubbery is a bit too "green" for my tastes (maybe another bright colour to "distract" the eye?..) - still nice and sharp, all the same!

Looooooooooooooove the first piccy!!

On the first, its nice to see a bit of colour in a night sky. Think I'd get rid of the majority of the dark foliage on the left.

On second, greens looks fine to me (but I am on a laptop). Is that a Gunnera? Would suggest cropping square though to get rid of the grey path/border

Thanks both,

I'd completely forgotten Leeds had canals until I went exploring for night shots (half a dozen sodium lights down the high street where I live didn't quite inpire me). I was tempted to move even further to the right in the hopes the foliage would block out those lighting globes a bit, but then the reflections didn't look right

Gunnera and ferns etc were supposed to be a study in green/texture. I took several exposures and at one just stop down the fern top left was too dark (for my taste anyway). The square crop

But it's not raining in either shot

I like them both but the night scene is my favourite
K10D, K5 plus plenty of clueless enthusiasm.

Thanks Stuey
It didn't rain all weekend, much to everyones amazement.
I even got a bit tanned walking around the garden (not my sons I hasten to add).

I must admit that I'm always amazed at how the few people that were about just disappear with exposures of several seconds.
The city centre was he-e-e-aving with nowhere that I would dare put a tripod, so only a few shots taken there with relatively short, hand held, exposures

Bernard
