A walk up to Shutlingsloe

The 506m/1,660ft summit of Shutlingsloe has been dubbed “the Matterhorn of the Peak.” This unusual shaped hill which pokes its craggy, crooked summit above the conifers of Macclesfield Forest and the hamlet of Wildboarclough, is one of the few real peaks worthy of the name in the Peak District. A few shots taken on my walk up to the top of Shutlingsloe today. Any thoughts, tips c&c welcome, thanks for looking. All shot with my K-x and 18-55 kit lens

Looking back down, Alderley Edge, Teggs Nose and in the distance Fiddlers Ferry cooling towers can just be seen.

That brings back some memories. I could see Shutlingsloe from my back garden and Jodrell Bank from a bedroom window when I lived in the Cheshire. I've been up it a few times.

Excellent.
