A suprising combination...

Currently going through my lenses to decide which ones to keep and which to sacrifice and in the process I tried a few lenses with the SMC-F 1.7x AF Converter - there is so little reduction in quality when using it with the A 50mm f1.2....

I think I would keep that combination. Cracking shots with nice colours and impressive detail. Particularly like no.4.

Agree with the last two comments. That's what you get with a 1.2 lens

Seems the new Pentax D-FA* 85mm f/1.4 lens won't be necessary after all!

People keep saying (mistakenly) that there is nothing new coming from Pentax. With results like those it shows it doesn't really matter at all.

Thanks for all the comments Guys - the A 50/1.2 delivers some amazing shots when you get it right (and I rarely do - particularly at close distances), I haven't used it with the 1.7x AF converter before but just from these first few shots I don't think I'll part with this combination. So - it'll have to be the K 50/1.2 to go up for sale

Sorting out glass? A thankless task. All above are quality shots. I shoot glass that matches my mood or specific requirement. I'm still aiming for a sharp image through a jam jar base and therefore accept all of my lenses as keepers.

Best regards
