A set for Mr. Dream-seller?

The blooms nearly all gone, some poppy images from the garden this afternoon.

For me both images need tidying up. there is a black mark on one of the seed heads in both shots, this is distracting. Also the second shot which looks like it may be a reversed crop of the first one has a bit of dead "stuff" hanging off the right hand side poppy; this can be seen in the first image also. To be brutal, it`s all a bit "ok" but not particularly well done or interesting. Sorry.

Don't be "sorry".....I'm not, & never will be, over honest, legitimate crit.

I find it a moot point, whether to record nature as is, (black mark, "dead stuff"), or, for aesthetic reasons, "improve" the image.

No. 2 is not a reverse of no.1, rather the black spot is common to both images, no.2 being part of the group to the right of no.1, if you see what I mean?!

I'd be interested on your view on the subsequent post.

There's so much potential here. What would make a great set, maybe even something to print and display is a series showing the development and maturation of a few poppy heads from bud to flower to bare brown stalks. Even when they become skeletal "pepper pots" they're interesting. You' ve captured late middle age stage!

I find the images a bit soft, and the colours a bit dull, which makes me wonder how these shots would look in mono?
